
Women's basketball, gymnastics and more on Sideliners

Feb. 22, 2018 The first-place Central Michigan women's basketball team and the 24th-ranked gymnastics team will highlight the discussion Thursday at the weekly live Sideliners radio show at Hunter's Ale House.
CMU Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford also will join the show and provide updates on new initiatives in the department.
The show begins at 6 p.m. and is hosted by Don Chiodo on WUPS-FM 98.5 and on the CMU Chippewas Game Day app, and is rebroadcast on Thursday at 8 p.m. on WLUN-FM 100.9.
Coach Sue Guevara will open Sideliners by answering questions about the women's basketball team, which has the best overall record in the Mid-American Conference at 14-1 and is 22-4 overall. Juniors Reyna Frost and Presley Hudson will accompany Guevara.
The Chippewas travel to Western Michigan on Saturday for a 2 p.m. game. The Chippewas' final home game of the regular-season is on Feb. 28 against Ball State, and they already have earned a top-four seed to Cleveland for the Mid-American Conference Tournament March 7-10.
Gymnastics coach Jerry Reighard will lead a discussion about the Chippewas' upcoming road meets before they return March 15 to close regular-season action by taking on Ball State. Gymnasts and co-captains Katy Clements and Brittany Kaplan will join the broadcast.
CMU also will host the 2018 MAC Gymnastics Championships in McGuirk Arena on March 24. Tickets for the final home meet and the MAC Championships are on sale at Ticket Central.
