Sideliners Set For Thursday At Hunter's

Basketball, Gymnastics on the weekly radio show docket
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Sideliners returns to Hunter's Ale House in Mount Pleasant this week with Central Michigan basketball and gymnastics the featured topics.
The weekly radio show, hosted by Adam Jaksa, airs from 6-7 p.m. on WUPS 98.5-FM. The public is welcome to attend in person and take the opportunity to mingle with Chippewa coaches and players.
Central Michigan men's basketball coach Keno Davis and gymnastics coach Jerry Reighard are the featured guests this week.
Also scheduled to join the show are Shawn Roundtree Jr. of the men's basketball team, and Gianna Plaksa and Macey Hilliker of the gymnastics team.
The Chippewa gymnasts, who last year swept the Mid-American Conference regular-season and MAC Championships titles, entertain Illinois State on Friday (7 p.m.) in a nonconference dual.
The Chippewas, who are ranked 30th by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association, opened the season on Sunday by winning a quad at McGuirk Arena. They topped No. 22 Illinois and No. 33 Arizona in winning the meet.
The CMU men's basketball team is off to an outstanding 13-2 start, 2-0 MAC, after Tuesday's 88-86 overtime victory at McGuirk Arena over Akron. The Chippewas play host to Bowling Green on Saturday (4:30 p.m.).
