Lang to assist in the fiscal year annual fundraising goals of the Chippewa Athletic Fund
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Joe Lang has been added to the Chippewa Athletic Fund staff as an Assistant Director.
In this role, Lang's primary responsibilities will be to contribute to the fiscal year annual fundraising goals of the Chippewa Athletic Fund (CAF) and to build and maintain quality relationships with donors, alumni, head coaches and community members. Lang will also serve as a Chippewa Athletic Fund liaison for assigned sport programs for which he will develop and execute fundraising campaigns.
"Joe is going to add a unique dynamic to our team," said Drew Moomey, Director of the Chippewa Athletic Fund. "As a letterwinner and former Division I student-athlete, he will relate to many of our donors and I look forward to watching Joe grow into his position to a key piece of the Chippewa Athletic Fund."
Lang comes to CMU from the University of Nebraska, where he served as a Development Assistant with the Huskers Athletic Fund (HAF). Lang's duties included prospect management, data analysis and donor stewardship for the National Leadership Society. He also oversaw the HAF football sideline experience as well as gameday operations in premium seating areas for multiple sports.
A native of Pullman, Wash., Lang graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, majoring in finance. He also earned a master's degree in business with a specialization in intercollegiate athletics administration from the University of Nebraska's College of Business in 2020.
A former football student-athlete, Lang enrolled as a freshman at Washington State, where he lettered in 2014. Lang then transferred to UNLV to continue his football career and education. He was a two-time Mountain West all-academic team member and two-time letterwinner as a Rebel.
