MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan men's basketball team returns to action on Tuesday night, kicking off a busy week in Chippewa Athletics.
Highlighting the week is the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at Kent State.
The two-day event begins on Friday (10:45 a.m.) and concludes on Saturday (11 a.m.).
• The CMU men's basketball team, which is battling for a spot in the Mid-American Conference tournament, is set to play at league co-leading Ohio on Tuesday (7 p.m.).
It's the first of three games this week for CMU, which goes to Miami (Ohio) on Thursday (7 p.m.) and then returns to McGuirk Arena on Saturday (7 p.m.) to face Kent State.
Miami sits in seventh place, just percentage points ahead of the Chippewas. The top eight teams make the league tournament.

CMU then is scheduled to entertain Butler in a nonconference game on Sunday (Noon).

CMU has scored a 196.475 and a 196.125 in its last two competitions and has moved up to No. 42 in the national rankings this week.
