CMU Athletics Introduces Maroon & Gold Fan Rewards Program

Through the new Maroon & Gold Fan Rewards program on the CMUAthletics app, which will be available starting on Monday, July 24, fans can accumulate points for attendance, loyalty, and participation, and can earn prizes and enter sweepstakes for major rewards.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Central Michigan Athletics will introduce an exciting way for its most loyal fans to follow the Chippewas with its new Maroon & Gold Fan Rewards Program. Through the CMU Athletics app, which can be downloaded via either the Apple App Store or Google Play stores or through the desktop version at www.cmichrewards.com, the Maroon & Gold Fan Rewards Program will allow all Chippewas fans, including students, alumni, and community members, the opportunity to win prizes for attending CMU athletic events. The program will be available starting on Monday, July 24, located at the bottom of the CMU Athletics app side menu.
The program is simple. Registered fans accumulate points and can turn in their points for prizes. There are several ways that CMU Athletics fans can earn points through the app including attending live events, registering for the program, logging in daily, staying at events a certain length of time, participating in promotions, watching CMU athletics live streams, correctly answering Trivia Tuesday questions, participating in polls, being a contestant on game days, and attending campus events. Points can be redeemed for prizes or accumulated for entries into various sweepstakes.
"We believe we have the most loyal fans in the Mid-American Conference and the Maroon & Gold Rewards program is a tremendous way to thank our followers for their passionate support of our teams and student-athletes," Zyzelewski Family Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Amy Folan said. "Our goal with the Maroon & Gold Rewards program is to incentivize fans and students to attend CMU Athletic events. In addition, we hope to reward those fans who are actively involved with our programs."

How the Maroon & Gold Fan Rewards app works
- Download the CMU Athletics app online either through the Apple App or Google Play stores or via the desktop version at www.cmichrewards.com. The Maroon & Gold Rewards App will be available at the bottom of the CMU Athletics app side menu. The Mobile App allows you to view all upcoming events, your active points, the prize store, and other cool features.
- Use the app for a mobile check-in inside the venue starting 30 minutes prior to the event. Points will be added to your account immediately after your check-in.
- Ways to earn points include registering, logging in daily, watching CMU Athletics live streams, attending events, staying at events a certain length of time, answering Trivia Tuesday questions correctly, participating in polls, being a contestant on game days, attending campus events.
Maroon & Gold Fan Rewards Prize System
- Once fans have amassed a certain amount of points, they can exchange those points to receive various prizes.
- Prizes include Adidas gear, CMU apparel and accessories, men's and women's basketball courtside seats, and Isabella Bank VIP football seats.
- The top five point-earning students and top five point-earning fans will be entered into a drawing for the grand prize—two tickets to the September 7, 2024 road football game at Florida International (game tickets, charter plane seats and hotel accommodates included).
- Sweepstakes include a 2024 PohlCat Golf Course membership and a weekend stay at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. Full details will be announced later.
- Participants can also earn points on Trivia Tuesdays, when they correctly answer a question every Tuesday.
- Participants will be able to check individual and student leaderboards daily.
- All points will reset on July 1, 2024.
- Prizes can be picked up on Thursdays from 3-6 p.m. in the John G. Kulhavi Events Center Atrium.
- Select athletic events will also be designated as prize pick up dates throughout the year, please keep an eye on athletic communications for these announcements.
- Fans must show a valid ID to claim their prize.
