CMU Announces 2024-25 Men's Basketball Promotional Schedule

Toilet Paper Toss/White Out is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25; promotions scheduled for each and every home men's basketball game.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's 2024-25 Men's Basketball schedule features 15 games at McGuirk Arena, each with a promotional theme. The Chippewas have already played three home games. Here is a look at the season's remaining promotional schedule:
SEASON-LONG PROMOTIONS
Kids aged 12 and under can shoot post-game free throws. Report to Fan Central at the end of each game for this opportunity. Visit Fan Central in the Events Center Atrium to snag CMU sport schedule posters and themed giveaways.
Monday, Dec. 30, vs. Cleary—New Year's Celebration (2 p.m. tipoff)
This New Year's celebration will feature party favors including hats, beads, and 2025 glasses. Fans can also participate in a post-game autograph session with the 2024-25 CMU men's basketball team in the Events Center atrium.
Saturday, Jan. 4, vs. Ohio—Special Olympics Night (7 p.m. tipoff)
Central Michigan opens Mid-American Conference play when it hosts Ohio on Jan. 4. The matchup is Special Olympics Night and will feature a special halftime recognition of local Special Olympians. Special Olympians, Special Olympics staff, and accompanying guests will receive a discounted $8 GA ticket at the ticket window on game day.
Tuesday, Jan. 14, vs. Eastern Michigan—Maroon & Gold Game (7 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: Members First Credit Union
As the first MAC game with students on campus, students in the West bleachers will receive gold pompoms and students in the East section will receive maroon pompoms.
Tuesday, Jan. 21, vs. Ball State—Crocs Night (7 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: McLaren
All fans are encouraged to wear their Crocs! Those who do will receive a free Action C shoe charm.
Saturday, Jan. 25, vs. Western Michigan—Toilet Paper Toss/White Out (7 p.m. tipoff)
For the third consecutive season, Central Michigan will host a Toilet Paper Toss and White Out. All fans are encouraged to wear white. CMU students must claim a student ticket through the Maroon & Gold Rewards program prize store; tickets cost 500 points. Additional details regarding the event timeline and game day promotions will be announced in the coming weeks.
Saturday, Feb. 1, vs. Bowling Green—Detroit Sports Day (7 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: MyMichigan Health
In a doubleheader with the Central Michigan women's basketball team (1 p.m. tipoff vs. Bowling Green), the Chippewas will host Detroit Sports Day. All fans are encouraged to wear Detroit sports gear. Fans wearing Detroit sports team shirts or jerseys will receive a discounted ticket ($8 general admission). Fans can stick around for post-game autographs with the CMU men's basketball team in the Events Center atrium. More details regarding Detroit Sports Day will be released leading to the event.
Tuesday, Feb. 4, vs. Miami (Ohio)—Minions Night (7 p.m. tipoff)
As part of Minions Night, all fans are encouraged to dress as minions. Door giveaways include round glasses and a themed sticker.
Saturday, Feb. 8, MAC-SBC Challenge vs. TBA—Youth Day/Scout Day (time: TBA)
Game Sponsor: MyMichigan Health
On Youth Day/Scout Day, kids ages 12 and under are invited to form a pre-game high-five tunnel. Parents are encouraged to send their kids' drawings of the team's roster photos to athmkt@cmich.edu, which will be featured on the McGuirk Arena video board throughout the game. Door giveaways include CMU Basketball bracelets and CMU Basketball scout patches (girl/boy scouts only). General admission tickets are $8 for youth ages 12 and under and Boy/Girl Scouts. Don't forget to stop by the concession stand for $1 popcorn!
Saturday, Feb. 15, vs. Akron—McGuirk Mania (7 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: McLaren
Help us pack the house for McGuirk Mania! Fans will receive a CMU Basketball McGuirk Mania t-shirt at Fan Central while supplies last. CMU students can snag free pizza on the concourse during pre-game.
Tuesday, Feb. 25, vs. Buffalo—Tropical Freeze (7 p.m. tipoff)
As part of Tropical Freeze Night, a Hawaiian luau-themed game, all attending fans will receive leis.
Friday, March 7, vs. Northern Illinois—Senior Night (7 p.m. tipoff)
In its annual Senior Night, Central Michigan will recognize and celebrate its seniors in a pre-game ceremony. Fans will receive free 3-point cards with the seniors' numbers on the back.
