
Final CMU Basketball Radio Show of '24-'25 to Air at Soaring Eagle Casino Tonight, 7 p.m.

The monthly hour-long basketball radio show will feature Central Michigan men’s coach Tony Barbee and women’s coach Kristin Haynie along with player guests; will air live from the Ascend Sports Bar & Lounge
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — The final edition of the 2024-25 CMU Basketball Radio Show airs tonight at 7 p.m. at Soaring Eagle Casino. Presented by Fabiano Brothers, the hour-long show will feature head men's coach Tony Barbee and women's coach Kristin Haynie, who will each be interviewed for a half-hour.

The show will take place at the Ascend Sports Bar & Lounge (located at the back of the main floor). Admission is free for all. Fans who are not able to make it out to see the show live can listen live on the Varsity Sports Network (online or via app)Â or through the CMU Athletics app.

Hosted by Voice of the Chippewas Adam Jaksa, both coaches will provide an inside look at their respective teams, break down upcoming opponents, and discuss the Chippewa's performance in their previous games.

Haynie, joined by senior guard Lisa Tesson, will be interviewed in the opening segment from 7-7:30 p.m.; Barbee, joined by sophomore guard Cayden Vasko, will have the late segment, 7:30-8 p.m.
The women's squad punched its ticket into the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championship tournament Wednesday night with a comeback, overtime victory at Miami (OH), 69-66; the men overcame a 21-point second-half deficit at Ball State Tuesday night to secure the right to control their own destiny to make the league bracket Friday night against Northern Illinois at McGuirk Arena.Â
