
Eight Chippewas Earn CSC Academic All-District

Five different CMU programs represented in College Sports Communicators' at-large group
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Eight Central Michigan student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, announced today.
The eight are Mallory Camryn, field hockey; Luciana Alvarado-Reid, gymnastics; Jozy Allen, Ava Regitz, and Sadie Hinkle, lacrosse; Rachel Niskanen, women's golf; and Luke Cochran and Alex Cramer, wrestling.
In order to earn the honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better and have appeared in a requisite number of his or her team's scheduled competitions.
Allen, who hails from Cincinnati, earned a master's of business administration in May, graduating with a 4.00 grade point average; Alvarado-Reid, junior, Cartago, Costa Rica, 3.71, English language, literature and writing; Camryn, junior, Stony Creek, Ont., 4.00, community development; Cochran, graduate student, Grayslake, Ill., computer science, 3.84; Hinkle, senior, Medina, Ohio, sport management, 3.67; Niskanen, redshirt sophomore, Negaunee, 3.59, exercise science, 3.59; Regitz, sophomore, Marietta, Ga., international relations, 3.95.
