Women's Golf Opens Season with Annual A-Ga-Ming Invitational over Labor Day Weekend

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan women's golf team is set to open the 2026-27 season with its annual A-Ga-Ming Invitational at A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort in Kewadin.
The 54-hole, two-day tournament, which features a 13-team field, is scheduled to be played over Labor Day Weekend on A-Ga-Ming's Sundance Course.
It is the first of 11 events – five in the fall, six in the spring – on the Chippewas' schedule.
The CMU women will again team up with the Chippewa men to host the annual Motor City Matchup at Birmingham Country Club in suburban Detroit in mid-October.
The Chippewas' other 10 events are stroke-play tournaments. They are slated to play in tournaments hosted by Toledo, Michigan State and Dayton in the fall, and will travel to Florida, Arizona, Alabama, North Carolina and Maryland for the spring portion of the schedule.
The season culminates with the Mid-American Championships at famed Firestone Country Club in Akron in late April.
