The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that medical and health services manager jobs will grow by 32% between 2020 and 2030. CMU Director of Athletics Amy Folan sits down with CMU alum Marita Hattem-Schiffman, president of MyMichigan Medical Centers in Clare, Alma and Mt. Pleasant, as well as two CMU student-athletes studying health administration — gymnast Hannah DeMers and lacrosse player Erin Owens. Marita shares the story of her career path and talks about what she does in health administration and why it is an important field of study. Hannah and Erin talk about their interest in the field, their experience in CMU's program and what they hope to do after graduation.

Adam Jaksa catches up with softball head coach McCall Salmon on this episode. She gives her background on playing softball and coming up through NAIA to eventually get to Central Michigan. Coach Salmon has been influenced by her dad in more ways than one and she tells about how the start of the season is going so far.

The two talked about Ben wrestling at Central Michigan and his career before he turned into a coach. They chat about him being a 4-time All-American and what it'll take for his Chippewas to win a MAC title. Finally, the two get on the mat and Ben shows Adam some wrestling moves.

It's officially time for Chippewa baseball! This week Adam stops over and chats with HC Jake Sabol before the team heads down to West Georgia to open the 2026 season. The two get into expectations for the start of the year, what it's like for Coach Sabol to lead his Alma mater and then they hit the batting cages and field to test Adam's skills.

This week, Voice of the Chippewas Adam Jaksa stops by gymnastics to talk with senior Luciana Alvarado-Reid. She is the reigning MAC Gymnast of the Year and now is in her final season with the program. They get into her growing up in Costa Rica and how she found Central Michigan. Luciana discusses being the first Costa Rica born gymnast to compete in the Olympics and what a special moment that was for her. The two then get up and test Adam's gymnastics ability.
