Faithe Ways was named assistant athletic director of compliance in January 2018. She is responsible for day-to-day compliance activities in CMU Athletics and leads the department in education, monitoring, enforcement, and maintenance of NCAA rules.
Before joining Central Michigan, Ways served as compliance coordinator at Weber State University. Ways' primary duties included educating and monitoring Weber State's student-athletes, coaches, athletics department staff members and boosters on issues regarding amateurism and athletics eligibility, recruiting, and playing and practice seasons. Prior to Weber State, Ways served as a compliance assistant at Georgia State University.
A native of Lathrup Village, Mich., Ways attended University of Michigan's Rackham Graduate School and earned a master's degree in public administration. While at University of Michigan, she was a member of the American Society of Public Administrators and a recipient of the Robert R. Robinson Scholarship. Ways also has a bachelor of arts in journalism from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.
Ways is a member of the National Association of Athletics Compliance and has earned her NAAC certification.
