Chippewa squad to compete in finals at Disney on Saturday.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Central Michigan University's cheerleading team has reached the finals of the 2002 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships to be held at Disney World here Saturday.

Coach Amanda Hoppert's Chippewas were seventh of 19 teams in the small coed division after the semi-final round with the top eight teams advancing. Long Beach State is No. 1 heading into the finals.
