Moll, Nelson Tabbed CMU Scholar-Athletes

Central Michigan University has selected Cami Moll (women's track and field) and Kevin Nelson (men's basketball) as CMU Scholar-Athletes of the Week. Candidates for CMU Scholar-Athletes of the Week must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and are selected based on athletic performance the previous week. Cami Moll scored at the Sykes/Sabock Challenge Cup with a seventh-place showing in the 5,000m. CMU finished sixth in 12-team field. The Zeeland native raced to a 17:18.88. Moll's time is the top 5,000m time on the team so far this season.

Nelson averaged 14.5 points and 1.5 rebounds last week while hitting nine three-pointers in 16 attempts (.563). Nelson now has 52 three-pointers this season to tie for ninth on the CMU single season chart. He drained five treys in a win over NIU and four at Buffalo.
