Davis, Sidlauskas Honored as CMU's Scholar-Athletes

Central Michigan University has selected Katie Davis (women's track and field) and Mike Sidlauskas (men's track and field) as CMU Scholar-Athletes of the Week. Candidates for CMU Scholar-Athletes of the Week must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and are selected based on athletic performance the previous week. Katie Davis helped the Chippewas women's track and field squad win their second MAC title in three years by scoring 12 points. Davis took second place in the weight throw with a toss of 56-8 and finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 46-6 1/4.

Mike Sidlauskus scored for the Chippewas and was an All-MAC performer at the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships last weekend. The thrower took second in the men's weight throw with a toss of 58-8.
