Jock Rock Set For Sunday
April 4, 2001
MOUNT PLEASANT -- Central Michigan University student-athletes will trade their uniforms in for colorful costumes and microphones this Sunday, April 8, at the Seventh Annual "Jock Rock."
Jock Rock consists of each CMU team putting together a lip sync routine and performing it while being judged on creativity, lip syncing, originality and time allotment.
The fun begins in Plachta Auditorium in Warriner Hall at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public and admission is $3.
Jock Rock is sponsored by the CMU Student-Athlete Advisory Board and raises money to benefit the Isabella County Soup Kitchen.
In previous years the event has raised money for a local family who lost their home in a fire, the Michael Kirkpatrick Scholarship Fund and the Isabella County Commission on Aging.
