Hohs, Humphrey Snag CMU Scholar-Athlete Accolade

Central Michigan University has selected Karen Hohs (softball) and Luke Humphrey (track and field) as CMU Scholar-Athletes of the Week. Candidates for CMU Scholar-Athletes of the Week must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and are selected based on athletic performance the previous week. Hohs, CMU's leadoff hitter, batted .231 last week going 6-for-26. The sophomore helped CMU to a 5-2 record last week, including a 5-0 mark in MAC games. She had a double and a stolen base on the week. Hohs is hitting .256 on the season with seven doubles, four triples and five RBI. She has stolen 13 bases in 15 attempts.

Luke Humphrey led the Central Michigan University track and field distance team at the Gina Relays at Hillsdale University last weekend. The harrier finished second in the 10,000m with a time of 29:20.80. That was the top time this season for Humphrey in the 10k.
