Athletics Hires Two Trainers

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan University athletics department has added Robin Jones and Emily McDonah to the athletic training staff.
Jones will work with women's basketball while overseeing gymnastics and volleyball. McDonah will work with the men's and women's track and field, and cross country teams.
Jones joins the Chippewa training staff after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant in the CMU athletics department. The DeWitt, Iowa, native worked with the CMU gymnastics team the past two seasons.
Prior to Central Michigan University, Jones was a student trainer at the University of Iowa. She worked with the Hawkeye women's soccer, wrestling, and the men's and women's basketball squads.
Jones received her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Iowa in 2000 and plans on earning her master's from Central Michigan University in December of 2002.
McDonah spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant trainer at CMU before she became a full-time staff member this summer.
She spent the past two seasons working with the CMU softball team. McDonah also has experience working with football, women's basketball and softball teams while at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
The Trempealeau, Wisconsin, native earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Lakeland College. McDonah completed work on her master's degree at Central Michigan University in May of 2002.
Rounding out the 2002-03 training staff will be graduate assistants Elizabeth Edman, Jamie Fichera, Kristie Jo Hittle, and Blair Unruh.
