Andy Sneddon

Andy Sneddon joined the Central Michigan Athletics Department in 2014. He writes and edits written content for the department website, cmuchippewas.com as well as serving as the sport contact for the Chippewa golf, wrestling and baseball programs.
He also writes features for Centralight magazine.
Before his arrival at CMU, Sneddon worked for more than 20 years as a sports writer/sports editor at several newspapers in Michigan, earning more than two dozen writings awards from the Associated Press, the Michigan Press Association and the National Newspaper Association.
His work has appeared in the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit News, Traverse City Record-Eagle, MHSAA.com and several other Michigan newspapers and regional publications.
Sneddon, a native of Ferndale, Mich. earned his bachelor's degree with a major in journalism/communications in 1990 from Oakland University. He has two teen-age daughters, Carley and Jamie.
