Recruited Student-Athlete
An individual becomes a "recruited student-athlete" at Central Michigan University, when any coach or representative of athletics interests (i.e., booster or other constituent) approaches you or any member of your family about enrolling and participating in CMU Athletics. Specifically, the below outlined activities would deem a student-athlete as "recruited" by the NCAA,
 1.) The institution provided the prospect with an official visit (i.e., expenses paid for by CMU);
 2.) The prospect (or his/her parent(s), relatives, or legal guardian(s)) have an arranged in-person, off-campus encounter;
 3.) A CMU Coach initiating/receiving telephone contact with a prospect (or his/her parent(s), relatives, or legal guardian(s)) on more than one occasion for the purpose of recruitment.
