Mike Frauenheim was added to head coach Tony Barbee's staff as director of basketball operations in May, 2021.
Frauenheim worked alongside Barbee as the video graduate assistant at Kentucky for two seasons while Barbee was an assistant coach with the Wildcats.
Frauenheim played at York College of Pennsylvania from 2015-19, helping lead the Spartans to two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances including in 2018, when they captured the Capital Athletic Conference championship.
Frauenheim was named to the York All-Decade Team and is on the program’s all-time top-10 list for assists, assists per game, steals and steals per game. He earned Academic All-CAC honors while earning his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in sport management and a minor in athletic coaching.
He holds a Master’s degree from Kentucky in kinesiology health promotion with a focus on sport leadership.
