Leo Stern began his first year as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Central Michigan in June 2024. Stern works directly with the Chippewa men's basketball and men's golf teams.
Stern joined the CMU Strength and Conditioning staff after working two years with the men's basketball and men's golf teams at the University of North Alabama in Florence, Ala. Prior to that stint, he spent 11 months as a graduate assistant at Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, Mo., where he worked directly with the men's and women's basketball teams.
He also worked previously as the University of Kentucky as a strength and conditoning intern serving the football and men's basketball teams. He has also gained experience Fidelity Bank Center, the College of Holy Cross, Carthage College, and in Tokyo, Japan.
A 2021 graduate of Carthage College (Wis.) with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, Stern went on to earn a master's degree in kinesiology and exercise science from Southeast Missouri State in 2023.
