Abigayl Cox begins her first year as a member of the Central Michigan football staff as its Director of Football Recruiting.

Cox arrives in Mount Pleasant after serving as the Senior Recruiting Assistant at Texas. During her time with the Longhorns, she helped recruit the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class.

Prior to Texas, Cox worked as a recruiting assistant for Arkansas Football, where she helped handle day-to-day communication with prospects and their families. She helped recruit Arkansas’ 2025 class, which ranked in the nation’s top-30 classes.

Cox started her career in sports at her alma mater Southeastern Louisiana from 2021-23, where she began working under the Assistant AD for Business Operations. She went on to work as the Football Recruiting Student Assistant in 2023, where she began to find her love for college football.

Cox earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Southeastern Louisiana University, in Hammond, La. She was named an AKA Undergraduate Scholar by the American Kinesiology Association and was honored as an Outstanding Graduate in Sport Management at Southeastern.
