Ashley Cogger
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Central Michigan Head Field Hockey Coach Kelly Terwilliger announced the hire of Ashley Cogger to her coaching staff March 16.
Hailing from San Diego, Cogger concluded her collegiate goalkeeping career with the Chippewas as a graduate student in 2025. Prior to Central Michigan, Cogger spent four years as a keeper for Temple. She earned Mid-American Conference Keeper of the Week twice, the first following the Chippewas' two-win weekend over Ball State (Sept. 26) and Ohio (Sept. 28). The second came ahead of the MAC tournament after a weekend of back-to-back wins over Bellarmine (Oct. 31) and Michigan State (Nov. 2).
Cogger recorded 15 saves on three separate occasions, including in the MAC Championships against James Maddison (Nov. 5). She recorded 10 wins in 2025, the most by a CMU keeper since at least 2006. Cogger recorded four wins over conference opponents, the most since 2014.
Over her lone season as a Chippewa, she posted a .786 save percentage (5th nationally), totaled 154 saves (5th nationally), averaged 8.11 saves per game (6th nationally), and averaged 2.64 goals allowed per game. She was named to the 2025 All-MAC Second Team following the exceptional season.
After the 2025 season ended, Cogger served as a student assistant coach for the Chippewas and earned her Master of Science in Exercise Physiology at CMU.
