Christian Maloney joined the Central Michigan Athletic Department in September 2023 as its Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Services.

Prior to his professional tenure at CMU, Maloney served as the Athletic Director and Head Men's Basketball Coach at nearby Coleman High School for the 2022-23 academic year. He also worked as an assistant basketball coach at Alma College in 2021-22 and was head junior varsity basketball coach, middle school football coach, and athletic director intern at his alma mater Sacred Heart Academy in Mount Pleasant.

Maloney graduated from Central Michigan in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management. He went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from CMU in 2023.

A Mount Pleasant, Mich. native, Maloney has lived all over the world including Germany, Kentucky, Michigan, Alaska, and Virginia. He spent the majority of his time in Michigan and graduated from Mount Pleasant's Sacred Heart Academy.
