Christopher Gibson serves as the assistant director of student-athlete services in Central Michigan Athletics. He joined the university in September, 2023.

Gibson works with the football, baseball and wrestling programs, promoting academic success while monitoring continuing eligibility and meeting with prospective student-athletes on recruiting visits.

Gibson worked in a similar capacity at Virginia Tech during the 2022-23 academic year after serving as a middle school science teacher in North Carolina, as an adjunct biology instructor at Bethany (W.Va.) College, and as a graduate teaching assistant at West Virginia.

A native of Cyclone, W.Va., Gibson earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in exercise physiology from West Virginia in 2008 and a Master of Science in Sport Management from West Virginia in 2021.
