Izzie Petersen joined Central Michigan Athletics in August, 2026 and serves as the assistant director of the Chippewa Athletic Fund (CAF).

Petersen builds and maintains relationships with donors, alumni, coaches and community members through various annual fundraising and stewardship initiatives, events, and one-on-one interactions.

She manages a portfolio of more than 120 donors and prospective donors, and serves as the CAF liaison for assigned athletics programs, developing and implementing fundraising campaigns. She assists in the sale of premium seating and serves as point of contact for CAF monthly newsletters.

From 2021-26, Petersen completed an internship with Razorback Foundation Inc., served as a graduate assistant with the One Razorback Pathway Program, and as a marketing assistant with Arkansas Athletics.

In her various roles with Arkansas Athletics, Petersen served as a liaison between university student organizations and the department, coordinated the Junior Razorback Program, created game-day promotional graphics and themes, aided in event management and operations, supported donor-related annual giving membership benefit fulfillment, developed and executed annual fund solicitation strategies, and monitored and assisted game-day promotion operations and in-game promotional games and giveaways

Petersen earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in business administration-management from Arkansas in 2023 and a Master of Education in Recreation and Sports Management from Arkansas in 2026.
