Luciana Alvarado-Reid, a former Central Michigan gymnastics standout, is in her first year as an graduate assistant coach with the Chippewa gymnastics program.

In her four-year career with CMU Gymnastics, she distinguished herself as an accomplished student-athlete. Earning numerous conference honors and individual accolades and qualified for NCAA Regionals in three consecutive seasons. Her achievements include five individual event MAC Championships, the 2023 MAC Freshman of the Year award, two MAC Gymnast of the Year honors (2025 and 2026) and the 2026 MAC Senior Gymnast of the Year. Her consistent contributions to the program have solidified her legacy as one of CMU Gymnastics’ most accomplished athletes.

Alvarado-Reid graduated from CMU in 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English Literature, Language and Writing and is now pursing a Master of Creative Writing.
