Senior Associate Athletics Director for Business and Facilities Operations Rob Wyman is in his 21st year as a full-time staff member with the Central Michigan athletics department.
Wyman’s primary duties include overseeing the athletic department's financial affairs along with its facilities operations. He is responsible for the administration of CMU's 19 athletic facilities and supervises a staff of seven individuals who manage the venues on a day-to-day basis. He also serves as the sport administrator for the field hockey and women's golf programs. Over the years, he has served as sport administrator for the gymnastics and men's basketball programs.
Previously, Wyman managed all elements of the CMU athletic communications office including multimedia services, media relations, social media, and web site content. He also oversaw all communication elements of the football program and handled the department’s branding and graphic design.
Wyman joined Central Michigan's athletic communication office in the fall of 2000 as a student. He has worked in he department ever since, serving four years as a student worker, two as an intern and 18 as a full-time employee. He began his tenure as a full-time employee in July of 2006 as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.
Wyman moved into the new role as the Director of Multimedia Services in the summer of 2007, launching CMU’s multimedia division including its videoboard productions and web video content. He held that position for two years before transitioning to the department’s graphic and web site coordinator in August of 2009. Wyman was named the Director of Athletic Communications in June 2013.
Wyman graduated from Central Michigan University in May 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Integrative Public Relations. He is married to fellow CMU graduate Katie Knapp-Wyman and they have a son, Elliot, and a daughter, Eleanor.
