Headed the wrestling program in its first full year as a varsity program ... never had a losing season in his eight years at the helm (1957-64) ... coached four All-Americas, including two-time NAIA national champion and one-time runner-up John Rollins at 137 pounds ... coached seven Interstate Intercollegiate Athletic Conference individual champions and 10 IIAC runners-up ... his final two teams were a combined 20-2... posted a career record of 61-23-2 (.721), gaining the highest winning percentage among CMU's all-time wrestling coaches ... spent a total of 36 years at CMU ... was the original chairman of the recreation and park administration department ... spent one year as an associate dean ... was the head wrestling and track coach and an assistant football coach at St. Cloud State before coming to CMU ... a native of Schenectady, N.Y.
