Became the first CMU student-athlete to earn All-America honors in both cross country ... earned All-America honors at the 1989 NCAA Cross Country Championships by placing 32nd ... placed 43rd individually at the 1988 NCAA Cross Country Championships as CMU posted a 19th-place team finish, its best in school history ... notched All-America honors in the 10,000m at the 1989 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a sixth-place finish of 30:02 ... a member of two MAC champion cross country teams (1988, 1989) and the 1989 district championship team ... a two-time first-team All-Mid-American Conference selection in cross country finishing third in 1988 and runner-up in 1989 ... ran the indoor 5,000m in school history (14:06.74, 1989) ... placed 14th in the 10,000m at the 1990 NCAA Championships with a time of 30:30... was MAC runner-up in the 10,000m in 1989 ... placed third in both the 5,000m and 10,000m at the 1988 MAC Championships... competed nationally following his collegiate career ... a Royal Oak, Mich., native who prepped at Kimball High School.
