5 Chippewa Wrestlers Earn Scholar All-American Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Five Central Michigan wrestlers have been named a Scholar All-American by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
The five are senior Chandler Amaker, freshman Archer Anderson, and sophomores Nick Blackburn, Luke Cochran and Cole Hopkins. Cochran is a repeat honoree.
The honor goes to collegiate wrestlers who meet one of these criteria: a top eight finish in the NCAA Championships along with a 3.00 grade point average; an NCAA Championships qualifier and a 3.20 GPA; a 3.50 GPA and participation in a conference championship tournament; a 3.50 GPA and a win percentage of 60 or better.
