One of the top pitchers in CMU softball history, Karen won a school-record 81 percent of her decisions (60-14) ... more than half of her career wins were shutouts as she blanked 31 opponents ... she earned a record 60 career victories, including a no-hitter against Miami on May 4, 1984 ... her 22 wins in 1986 matched the Chippewas' single-season record ... helped guide the 1987 team to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Women's College World Series ... a member of two Mid-American Conference championship teams ... a three-time first-team All-MAC selection... recorded 336 career strikeouts, ranking second in school history ... her sparkling 0.75 career ERA was the program's fourth-lowest ... made 89 appearances and threw 531.1 innings in her career ... a two-time Academic All-MAC selection ... a native of South Lyon, Mich., who prepped at South Lyon High School.
