One of the premier runners in Central Michigan University track history, Dave still holds the Chippewa outdoor mark in the 400-meter with a clocking of :46.74 that he set in 1960 ... also held the school mark in the 300-meter of :30.9 ... qualified for the 1960 Olympic Trials in the 400-meter and ran legs on CMU's 4x400 relay champion units at the Kansas and Drake Relays in 1959-60 ... a product of Mount Pleasant High School where he won state 220 title, Myers was a teacher and track coach at MPHS from 1965 until 1995.
