CMU Student-Athletes Collect 5,266 Cans

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University student-athletes collected an incredible 5,266 cans of food goods on Halloween night.

All of the cans went to the food pantry at the Isabella County Red Cross office.

"Every team was well represented and we were well over our goal of 4,500 cans," said Jason Holtman, a CMU athletics academic adviser.

A total of 214 student-athletes took part and helped surpass last year's total of 3,500 cans.
