Chippewas Fall To Eastern Michigan

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - John White ran for 137 yards and scored two touchdowns as Eastern Michigan snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 31-15 victory over Central Michigan on Saturday.
The loss pushed Central's losing skid to seven.
Eastern did all its scoring in the second half, going into the third down 7-0. A field goal by Toller Starnes at 2:48 in the third gave Eastern (2-7, 1-4 Mid-American Conference) the lead for good at 10-7. Less than three minutes later, Kenny Christian hit Walter Church for a 15-yard touchdown pass.
Central's Derrick Vickers opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run in the first, and Eric Salani closed things out with a 2-yard touchdown reception from Pete Shepherd.
The Chippewas (1-8, 1-5) were held to 40 yards rushing and committed six turnovers - four fumbles and two interceptions. Eastern rushed for 225 yards.
Central held the edge in yards gained through the air - 276-109.
