Chippewas Fall To Kent

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan University women's soccer team (12-4-1 overall, 7-2 Mid-American Conference) fell to Kent, 2-1, on Friday afternoon. The loss was just Central's second conference defeat on the season.

After a scoreless first half, the Chippewas took a 1-0 lead off a goal by Andrea Galindo (Livonia/So.) at 50:33. Kent tied the game with a goal at 56:21 and Tiffini Richardson scored the game winner for the Golden Flashes at 71:45.

Goalie Elizabeth Quiney (Milford/So.) played the first half and made one save while holding the Golden Flashes scoreless while Aryn McCumber (Rochester Hills/Fr.) played the second half and made two saves and gave up two goals.

The Chippewas host Buffalo on Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.
