Chippewas Fall To Buckeyes

The Central Michigan University (0-3 overall, 0-0 Mid-American Conference) field hockey team dropped its home opener by a 5-0 count to Ohio State University (5-0 overall, 0-0 Big Ten) on Tuesday afternoon at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
Ohio State scored three first-half goals en route to the win. Katie Hobson had two goals for the Buckeyes while Jayne Landis had a goal and an assist. OSU held the Chippewas to just five shots on the afternoon.
CMU travels to Michigan State on Saturday, Sept. 18.
