Baseball Picked To Finish Second In MAC West Division

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University's baseball team, co-champions of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) West Division last season, has been tabbed to finish second this season in the West in a vote of the conference coaches.
Coach Judd Folske's Chippewas were 41-17 overall in 2000 and tied Ball State with records of 18-8 in the West. Ball State received 76 total votes and had 11 for first place while CMU had 57 votes and one first-place ballot.
Miami was the narrow pick in the East with 79 points and five first-place votes followed by Kent State (78/3) and Ohio (76/3).
