WINTER PARK, Fla.-- Tim Bullinger's sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th scored pinch-runner Shane Trotter with the winning run as Central Michigan posted a 6-5 win over Virginia Tech to win the 54th Annual Baseball Week tourney on Saturday.
Both squads scored three runs in the first and two runs in the second to tie the score at 5-5. That would be all the scoring in the game until the 11th.
In the first inning, Mike Galloway had a triple that scored a pair while Brad Reid had an RBI single and Matt Crowley singled to drive in two runs in the second.
Gavin Gillette set down all seven batters he faced for the win. He also struck out four in posting his first win on the year.
J.D. Wheeler turned in a solid performance in middle relief. He gave up just three hits in five innings.
Bullinger, Galloway, Crowley and Jason Helps were all named to the all-tournament team.
CMU (6-7) is off until traveling to Oakland on March 17.
