Helps Earns National Honor

TUCSON, Ariz.--Central Michigan shortstop Jason Helps (Wyoming, Ontario/Sr.) was one of four players honored as Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger National Players of the Week.
Helps had an amazing week as he hit .429 (12-28) with 15 RBI, two doubles, one triple and five home runs. He also fielded 40 chances without an error. Helps homered in five straight games but not in the last two at Ohio, however, he doubled twice in one game and tripled and singled in the other.
His effort helped the Chippewas to a 6-1 record on the week.
