Pickens Picks Up MAC Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT--Central Michigan baseball player Scott Pickens (Mount Pleasant/Jr.) was named the Mid-American Conference's "West Division Player of the Week."

Pickens hit .550 (11-for-20) last week in helping the Chippewas win five of six games including a four-game sweep of Toledo to make the MAC tournament. He also had six RBI, two doubles and two home runs.

The junior catcher drove in the game-winning run in a 6-5 win over Toledo in Saturday's opener. He hit .571 (8-of-14) with four RBI and four runs scored in the series versus the Rockets.
