MOUNT PLEASANT -- Freshman shortstop Steve Sanfilippo (Janesville, Wis./Craig) has left the Central Michigan University baseball team for personal reasons.

The 5-10, 160-pounder played in 25 games, starting 23, and was hitting .263 with one homer and nine RBI. He was fielding .904 with nine errors in 84 chances.

CMU is currently 17-13 for the season.
