Chippewa Runners Take Second Through Seventh

WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana - The Central Michigan University men's cross country team competed at the Superstition Open on Friday afternoon. It was a non-scoring, 8k race.

Junior Jeff Davis of Temperance, led the Chippewas witha a second-place finish (24:23). Other top finishers were: junior Dave Ernsberger of Petoskey, third (24:33); sophomore Tristen Perlberg of Bay City, fourth (24:41); junior Luke Humphrey of Sidney, fifth (24:35); junior Don Wilkins of Trenton, sixth (24:46); senior Pete Remein of Ishpeming, seventh (24:49); and sophomore Jake Flynn of Benzonia, 11th (25:01).

Central Michigan University competed against Purdue University, Western Michigan University, Ohio State University and Franklin College.

The Chippewas are taking a week off before traveling to Minneapolis, Minnesota, for the Roy Griak Invite, on Saturday, September 28, at 11:00 a.m.
