Men's Cross Country Finishes Seventh At Roy Griak Invite

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minnesota - The Central Michigan University men's cross country team finished seventh with 230 points at the Roy Griak Invite on Saturday afternoon. It was a 8k race.
Oregon won the Invite with 96 points, followed by: Eastern Michigan 105; Weber State 166; Brigham Young 173; Minnesota 195.
Sophomore Tristen Perlberg of Bay City, led the Chippewas with a 27th-place finish (24:50). Other top finishers were: sophomore Jake Flynn of Benzonia, 39th (25:02); junior Dave Ernsberger of Petoskey, 49th (25:06); junior Don Wilkins of Trenton, 57th (25:16); junior Luke Humphrey of Sidney, 58th (25:17); senior Pete Remein of Ishpeming, 107th (25:44); senior Rick Bauer of Howell, 114th (25:44).
All together, 22 of the 28 teams that competed were ranked in their respective regional polls.
The Chippewas will travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, for the Bucknell Invite, on Saturday, October 5, at 10 a.m.
