Men's Cross Takes 15th at Notre Dame

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Central Michigan University men's cross country "B" team finished in 15th with 349 points at the Notre Dame Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind., on Friday afternoon.
Host Notre Dame took the team title with 76 points. Michigan was second with 92 points. There were a total of 23 men's teams racing the five mile blue race.
Luke Humphrey led the way for CMU. In his first race back, he was 52nd overall in 25:41. Jacob Crowe was the next Chippewa to cross the finish line. He was 67th in 25:48. Also scoring at Notre Dame were: Kevin Sule (70th, 25:48); Ron Miller (77th, 25:51); and Matt Kaczor (93rd, 26:01).
Also donning the Maroon and Gold were: Frank Therrian (149th, 26:59); Chris Schiemann (170th, 27:38); and Chad Theurerkorn (173rd, 27:58).
Winning the individual meet honors was Mid-American Conference rival Gavin Thompson. The Eastern Michigan Eagle took the No. 1 spot in 24:06.
