We are writing to invite your team to participate in our "CMU 2003-2004 Soccerfest" Indoor Soccer Tournaments! There are four different tournament dates offered which include both boys and girls teams, and have two age divisions: U12 (birthdates later than August 1, 1991) and U14 (birthdates later than August 1, 1989). Tournament dates for U-12 and U-14 girls' teams are Saturday, January 10, 2004 and Saturday, March 6, 2004. Tournaments for U-12 and U-14 boys' teams are offered on Saturday, December 6, 2003 and Saturday, February 14, 2004. The cost of the tournament is $240 per team for one day or $450 if the team attends both tournament dates.
Each team will be guaranteed three games. The top two teams from each division or bracket will play off in a championship round to determine first place for the tournament. Medals will be awarded to each member of the championship team. All games will be played on boardless fields (no walls), on an artificial turf surface. The games will be played in a 7v7 format (6 players + goalkeeper) with regulation-sized goals. Each team can have as many players as they choose, but we recommend that most teams have 9 to 12 players for optimal competition.
