Women's Cross Country Team Finishes Fourth at Falcon Invite

The Central Michigan University women's cross country team finished fourth in the Falcon Invite today at Bowling Green State University.
The Chippewas were led by junior Teresa Bongiovanni who placed fourth in the 5k race with a time of 18:35. Following Bongiovanni were Melissa Quisenberry in 16th place (19:26), Amanda Lyon in 18th (19:33), Susan Duncan 23rd (19:42), Sara Prout 25th (19:44), Lauren Fairbanks 26th (19:52), Elizabeth Carpenter 27th (19:57), Liz Burdick 29th (20:15), Ashley Anderson 30th (20:20) and Nicole Johnson 39th (21:23).
The Chippewas finished fourth out of five teams with 84 points. Bowling Green State University won the event with 45 points.
CMU will head to Toledo on Oct. 30 to compete at the MAC Championships.
