Takach Recognized By Conference

Erica Takach was named the Mid-American Conference "Offensive Player of the Week" by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Takach scored two goals and assisted on another in CMU's 5-0 victory over Stanford last weekend. Takach opened the scoring with the first goal of the match and also scored the final goal. The midfielder helped CMU shutout the Cardinal, its second-straight shutout to start the season.

Takach has three goals and one assist in two matches this season after notching six goals and 14 points in her first two seasons at CMU. She has also scored two match-winning goals.

Miami goalkeeper Kerri Orr was named the "Defensive Player of the Week."

CMU travels to Ann Arbor this weekend for a pair of matches. The Chippewas face Michigan on Friday at 3 p.m., then takes on Northeastern in a neutral site contest on Saturday at 10 a.m.
