Chippewas Ousted From MAC Tourney

ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University ended Central Michigan University's 2004-05 basketball season here Saturday afternoon, 71-43.
The Bobcats took a 27-18 halftime lead and never looked back in winning their opening-round game of the 2005 Mid-American Conference tourney.
Ohio goes to 13-15 while the Chippewas finish at 10-18.
As the score would indicate, OU dominated every facet of play. The Bobcats hit 26-of-76 for 34.2 percent compared to CMU's 23.9 percent (11-of-46). Ohio also held a 47-46 edge in rebounding and made just 13 turnovers to 29 for CMU.
The Bobcats put four players in double figures, led by Simone Redd's 17 and Kristian Kirkpatrick's 12. Andrea Johnson and Erin Isbell added 10.
CMU did not place a player in twin figures. Casey Manning had a near double-double with nine points and nine rebounds and Ann Skufca grabbed 10 rebounds.
