Sandham Named to NFHCA All-Region West Team

MOUNT PLEASANT – The Central Michigan University forward Samantha Sandham was named to the 2006 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I All-Region Second Team.
Sandham is the ninth player in CMU history to receive All-Region Second team honors. The sophomore is a two-time All-Mid American Conference honoree, receiving first team honors this season. She also received Academic All-MAC honors for the first time this season.
Sandham led the MAC in goals (14) and was second in points (35). The points rank eight and the goals 10th in CMU’s single-season record book.
The MAC had five players named to the second team—Torrie Albini (Ohio), Taylor Florence (Miami), Kate Perry (Kent State), Lindsay Quay (Ball State), and Samantha Sandham (Central Michigan University).
CMU was 11-10 overall and 6-4 in the MAC.
